As a therapist…

I use Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques to help my clients find more effective ways of handling the problems they face. I am also trained in ACT (Acceptance and Committment Therapy) which is a technique based therapy that provides an excellent framework for lifting oneself out of depression and anxiety to create the life desired. I approach my work with couples using the  Developmental Model, which teaches partners how to grow “emotional muscle” to deal more effectively with difficult problems, such as affairs, substance abuse, high levels of hostility and escalation of conflict.

As a coach…

As a coach, my role is to help you find direction and getting “un-stuck” in the areas where you feel stalled or blocked.  Coaching will help you find new perspective, explore new ways of being, and inspire action to live the life you dream of.

We may examine the past to understand how certain patterns of behaviour developed and how self-defeating beliefs evolved, but we will always have an eye to creating the future you desire.

RELATIONAL PROBLEMS in your couple, such as lack of closeness, feelings of disconnection, hostility, conflict, lies and infidelity.

MOVING FORWARD, with an idea, project, or goal, such as writing a book, launching a small business, sticking to an exercise program or giving up cigarettes.  

How sessions Work

When we start work together, we will discuss what you hope to get from our sessions.  How you answer this question will provide us an initial roadmap towards the goals you want to achieve.  We will refer back to these goals periodically to evaluate whether we are on track, as well as to decide if the initial goals have actually shifted based on the things you have learned about yourself. I am not the type to sit back and let you figure it out for yourself.  I believe in providing regular feedback and suggestions based on my training and lived experience as a therapist (and fellow human being!)  

How much it costs and how to book some time:

For individuals, one hour in-person or online sessions are 165 CHF. 

For couples, 60 minute in-person sessions are 215 CHF. 

Sessions are paid by cash as we go or invoice at the end of the month. 

My style is warm, humorous, pragmatic, and challenging. I believe in the adage that “insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results,” and I would not be doing my job if I didn’t lovingly confront you when I see you repeating old behaviors that are not serving your growth.
